I was working on something only slightly related tonight and it dawned
on me how weird it was to have a judge who specializes in "General
civil, personal injury, construction, banking, finance, and
*entertainment*" trying my criminal case in Hemet.  It certainly
explains why he was so unfamiliar with the criminal laws and the
rights of defendants.

As I have mentioned before, I seem to be a character trapped in a bad
novel written by John Gisham and Gore Vidal, perhaps with overtones of
Steven King, but I never realize things could get *this* weird.

I know there are not going to be much in the way of tracks because one
of the advantages of using a private judge is that it leaves no
lingering public record.  Other than these two, all the normal search
engines pull up with Judge Wallerstein's name are about the case
against me.  Still, in the entertainment business, there must have
been some stories about the cases he judged in Hollywood newspaper or
