Friday, about 3 pm I was coming back from an eye doctor appointment. As I came up the one lane dirt road to a gate in the fence around the place where we have been staying, I stopped across the road since I usually back into the driveway. This location is close to major roads, but well shielded by trees and broken terrain. I was angled across the dirt alley where it would be difficult for another car to pass. A van came around a corner. I restarted my van and pulled forward, over to the right so he could pass, which he did. Looking back I saw the driver had stopped in front of the gate and got out. The driver, looked very much like a younger Edwin Richardson with a soup strainer moustache and relatively long hair. (Richardson is the PI who choked me in LA and forced me to jump into traffic to get away from him at gold base.) As I mentioned, this area is a place where someone could be killed with no witnesses. [Google maps for this area are badly out of date, but if you put 870 Whetstine Ave, Prescott, AZ 86301 (not the actual address) you can see where the alley and Black Drive are. The road going by the Walmart has been renamed and extended and now curves up to Willow Creek north of Black Drive.] I headed up the alley and came out on Black Drive, turned right toward Willow Creek where there is a light, not yet sure he was actually interested in me. As I waited at the light he came up right behind me. By this time I was starting to think he was a scientology thug, having been followed by them dozens of times in the past. I turned right on a green light and got into the left lane to make the turn toward the local Walmart and witnesses. He followed. To see if he was really following me I started to turn into a parking lot just pass the signal with him right behind then signaled and got back into traffic, he followed. I was now certain he was scientology thug. By this time he has followed me half to three quarters of a mile. Then he turns on tiny red and blue blinkers set deep in the van's grill-which was the first indication I had that he was a police officer. I pull into the first driveway leading to Walmart, get out and tell him how relieved I was that he was police and not from scientology. I called Arel, from my cell something that made him very unhappy. He told me she would be arrested if she tried to interfere. He was extremely reluctant to give his name. It was only after the officers from a marked car that pulled up blurted out his name, Mark McClain, that he would admit who he was. He was not a happy camper when I told him his name would be known all over the world in a few hours. He used his cell phone to call Riverside to get their assurance they would come and get me, pro forma I am sure, and could not help bragging how he had traced me down through Arel's car registration and getting her name from the Internet pages on me. When Riverside called back, (was it Rod Pacheco?) I was taken to the local jail and booked. The stench of scientology's influence was redolent since there were officers standing around reading copies of scientology's hate pages on me from RFW that Detective McClain seems to have had handed around. I was told I would get a court hearing Saturday and Saturday told it had been moved to Monday. I am fairly sure I will be shipped off to Riverside the same way Padgett was shipped off to Kentucky without a hearing. Well, so be it. I will serve out the year or whatever, a federal case will break the illegal injunction, and the day I get out Chuck Beatty and I will picket gold base with signs that read Chuck Beatty says HI, I'm doing great! In the mean time I am locked up in "protective custody," i.e., solitary confinement, I suspect to prevent me from getting the word out to the media. Arel is no doubt going crazy since I have not been able to communicate with her. (Later that day) As I think about how the arrest went down, it really leave me wondering why Detective Mark McClain didn't put on his blinkers for 3/4 of a mile.
