Keith, First of all, I'd like to say the the I feel bad about the CoS targeting you, for what seem to be my posts. With the crap the CoS puts you through, I feel like they're using me to get you, which really pisses me off. I was playing Starcraft when those posts came around. In Starcraft, there is this unit (Terran) called the ghost. The ghost has some abilities, one of them being the targetor for nuclear strikes. They also are invisible, except in the presence of a detector unit. I thought that was the allusion. You didn't really add anything to the post, aside from correcting me, and then me and Fred took it from there. Hell, I even made the point of saying that the CoS would do a strike first. I am the one who painted the scenario, and even put the :) at the bloody end. The only thing I would say, is I was intentionally vague on the numbers. I know how accurate US weapons are. I took numbers which would be good in the 70's. I knew how ridiculous the scenario was (nuclear weapons are prime examples of trading accuracy for sheer volume. The epitome of that were the Titan missiles of the 60's) The lawsuit is total and utter bullshit. Hell, the only thing you did was correct what I said. > >The latest news from Garry is that this post is being used to >determine the recommended sentence as if I had written the whole >posting and that it was a threat. This is certainly not fair. It really pisses me off to see them do this to you, Keith. > >If you think this sounds like a story from the old USSR or a third >world country you are not alone. > >Keith Henson > >PS, if you go to Deja (google now) and put in SPF 8000 as the phrase >in advanced search of a.r.s, you get this one post. The CoS must be deathly afraid of lawsuits in Pittsburgh. They take what I say, and use it against you. Sincerely, Patrick Volk (it's Volk, not Volt) iu
